Welcome to year 2!

Working in Year 2 this year will be Mrs Bryan, Mrs Shepherd and Mrs Vickers. 

We are looking forward to watching everyone's fantastic progress over the next year.

Key Information

PE days are Mondays.

Forest school is every other Wednesday.

Important information regarding Forest school.

All children will need to come to school wearing their forest school kit and school shoes. Please bring wellies or waterproof footwear in a bag for your child to change into at the start of the session. They will get changed in the afternoon before their session begins.

Group A will spend the first half of the afternoon in the forest whilst Group B will stay in class with the teacher. The groups will then swap so all children will have forest school on the same day, just at different times.

REMINDER: The children will need to wear layers if it is cold outside, waterproofs and wellies (or old trainers). Clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty!

We do have waterproofs coats and trousers in school if you don't have any but please make sure children come with appropriate clothing to wear underneath these.

Home Learning

Each half term, the children will come home with a 'homework web' which will have multiple home learning prompts linked to subjects covered in school. This is due at the end of the half term where we will share all the exciting home learning we have done with our peers. 

Weekly homework is also set via Mathletics and Reading Eggs. There will also be a weekly Times Table Rock Star battle set! This is given on a Friday and is due the following Friday.
