Welcome to the Heys Primary School

On behalf of the children, staff, governors and parents, I would like to welcome you to our amazing school.

To promote positive attitudes to learning and motivate our children to succeed in all aspects of everyday life no matter their starting points. 

At the Heys we have a dedicated team of staff who are committed to the education of your child. We have created a learning environment that encourages children to have a go, make mistakes, ask questions and take risks, all within our nurturing environment.

The wellbeing of the school community  is a huge priority and we are here to help children, staff and families wherever and whenever we can. If you need our help, advice or just someone to talk to, give us a call or send us a message and we will be happy to help. 

As part of our bespoke curriculum, we have an amazing forest school where children learn teamwork, problem solving, caring for living things, resilience, life skills and  more. 

Physical Education is another strength of our school. We offer the children high quality and incredibly varied Physical Education and every child in school has the opportunity to find a sporting activity that they really love. 

To keep you fully informed, we have a fabulous website where you can keep up to date with everything that is going on at school such as: information about school term dates, your child’s curriculum, photos of your child’s classwork, videos to support with home learning, Policies, signposting of support available in the community etc. 

I would like to thank you for choosing The Heys for your child’s primary education but we cannot do it without your support. By working together and being supportive of each other, we can make sure your child leaves The Heys fully equipped and ready for high school and beyond.
