Animals including humans

This week year 3 have labelled bones in the human body.

We have been learning about the importance of a balanced diet. We now know why each food group is important for our health and what information we can find on food packaging.

We had to investigate which surface the car travelled furthest on. We planned, carried out and recorded our findings.

We created a whole class investigation to discover which materials are magnetic and non-magnetic.

We have been looking at the historic scientist Mary Anning. Mary was the first to discover the complete skeleton of a Plesiosaurus, meaning 'near to reptile'. She was known throughout the world for finding fossils.

We have been looking at different types of rock, we have focused on igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.
