ہمیں اپنے تمام بچوں کو اسکول میں واپس دیکھ کر، ایک ساتھ سیکھتے اور ہمیشہ بہتر ہوتے موسم سے لطف اندوز ہوتے دیکھ کر بالکل خوشی ہوئی ہے۔ مجھے یہ کہتے ہوئے بہت خوشی ہے کہ بچوں کی بڑی اکثریت اسکول میں واپس آنے کے لئے آسانی سے ڈھال گئی ہے اور ہر روز ہمارے اسکول کے قوانین پر عمل پیرا رہی ہے۔ اگر آپ کو اس بارے میں کوئی تشویش ہے کہ آپ کا بچہ کیسا محسوس کر رہا ہے، تو براہ کرم ہم سے براہ راست رابطہ کرنے میں ہچکچاہٹ محسوس نہ کریں تاکہ ہم ایسی چیزوں کو جگہ دے سکیں جس سے مدد ملے۔

چھٹی کی یاد دہانی
اسکول جمعرات یکم اپریل کو عام وقت پر ایسٹر کی چھٹی کے لئے بند ہوتا ہے اور پیر ١٩ اپریل کو دوبارہ کھلتا ہے۔

اسکول یونیفارم
براہ کرم یاد رکھیں کہ چھٹی کے بعد اسکول واپسی پر بچوں سے مکمل اسکول یونیفارم پہننے کی توقع کی جائے گی۔

مفت اسکول کھانے
اگر آپ ٹیسٹڈ فری اسکول کھانے کے حقدار ہیں اور ابھی تک اپنا چھٹی واؤچر جمع نہیں کیا ہے تو براہ کرم جمعرات یکم اپریل کی سہ بجے تک ایسا کریں۔

Dear parents/carers,

 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful job you have done to support your children with remote learning since the beginning of January 2021. It has been an absolute joy to see all the children coming to school, re-connecting with their friends and learning together. I have spoken to some of you already but please feel free to come and talk to me on the yard in the mornings. (I’m the one in the red coat!)

This year has been tough for everyone but finally we are beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel. More people within our community have now had their first vaccination and we have been given a ‘roadmap’ for the gradual re-opening of shops, restaurants etc. I hope you are as excited as I am to see a return to some normality.

That said, we must not become complacent in our Covid prevention routines if we want to keep our children in school, keep our families safe and see our friends again soon. If we all continue to wash/sanitise our hands, wear face coverings, follow social distancing, adhere to the government guidelines around self-isolation when symptoms are identified, and not mixing bubbles we will be able to hug our loved ones all the sooner.

 

Punctuality

 

Now more than ever it is vital that all children attend school on time every day. Thank you to everyone who has been arriving at school on time this week. It is lovely to see you all on the yard each morning despite the wet weather!

We do unfortunately have a lot of children arriving at school late each day.  Not only does this cause disruption to the lessons but it can be very difficult for the child that is arriving late, as they often miss out on important information and learning time. The classroom doors are open between 8.45 and 8.55 am. If your child arrives after this time then they need to come into school via the office so that they can be signed in.

 

School learning begins at 8:55am each day. If you arrive in school at 9:15 that is 20 minutes of missed learning each day which is 13 days of school lost in a year. All the teachers at The Heys are fully committed to closing the learning gap created by the two school closures since March 2020 and we need to work together to ensure we maximise learning for all.

 

Term time holidays

 

May I politely remind you of the following information surrounding term time holidays:

 

Absence from school during term time has a detrimental effect on a child’s academic progress.  Absence will not be authorised during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.  If you choose for your child to be absent when it has not been authorised then in line with Tameside’s policy you may be issued with a penalty notice, lose your child their place at this school and face legal action. Currently Penalty Notices are a fine of £60 per child, per parent, payable within 21 days.

Currently at The Heys we have a waiting list of children wishing to secure a place in most year groups, therefore families that take unauthorised extended leave are at serious risk of losing their child’s place at this school.

 

The Heys FOTH (Friends of The Heys) closure

 

In December 2020 the Heys Primary School FOTH was officially closed. All funds raised by FOTH have now been transferred to School funds. The money has been used to purchase a mud kitchen for Forest School ensuring every child in school will benefit. Hopefully it will be in place and ready to use very soon.

 

Wellbeing and mental health

 

If your child is struggling with any aspect of school life, please speak to your child’s teacher and ask for support. We are working hard to address wellbeing in school but are always available to offer advice or to signpost you and your family to a range of services within the local community. Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness and everyone needs help at some time in their lives!

Dear Parents and Carers

 

Following the Governments announcement regarding the full re opening of schools from Monday 8^th March 2021, I am looking forward to finally meeting all of the children and welcoming them back into school.

I would like to thank each and everyone of our families for your patience and continued support during this challenging time and for all the hard work that you have been doing at home supporting the children with online learning.

 

Start and Finish Times From 8^th March 2021

Start and finish times will be staggered (see next page for details).  This is to allow children to enter and leave the school premises with minimal contact with children from other class bubbles.  Please take time to read the additional sheet to familiarise yourself with times and which gates to use for each year group.

 

Uniform

From 8^th March until we break up for the Easter Holidays (Thursday 1^st April), children must come to school wearing their own clothes NOT school uniform. Children must wear sensible clothing that is appropriate for school and the weather with sensible shoes for playing outside.  The classrooms will continue to be well ventilated so please make sure your child is dressed warm clothing. 

When we return to school following the Easter Holidays on Monday 19^th April children will be expected to wear their full correct uniform, so this allows you time to check everything still fits them correctly!

 

PE / Forest school

These sessions will continue to run, and your child’s class teacher will let you know via dojo which day these will take place.  On these days, please send your child into school already wearing their kit for the appropriate lesson.

 

Please be assured that school is following all of the government guidelines and the safety of all the children and staff will continue to be our priority.  Please help us to do this by ensuring that you all continue to follow the guidelines yourselves, by wearing a face covering on school grounds and always maintaining social distancing.

If any member of your household or childcare support bubble develops symptoms of Covid 19 your child MUST NOT attend school and the person with symptoms must get a test.  Additionally, if your child has been identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 and have been told to isolate they MUST NOT attend school. You MUST inform us at school if any of these apply to yourselves.

Full time attendance at school from 8^th March will be mandatory and any unexplained absences legally must be recorded as unauthorised, which can lead to penalty notices being issued by the local authority.  It is therefore crucial that you contact school if your child is going to be absent for ANY reason at all.

 

Thank you again for your continued support and understanding throughout this difficult time. I cannot wait to get all the children settled back into school so that they are all together again.

جب ہم پیر 19 اپریل کو ایسٹر کی تعطیلات کے بعد اسکول واپس آجائیں گے تو ان سے توقع کی جاسکتی ہے کہ وہ ان کی مکمل درست وردی پہنیں ، لہذا آپ کو ہر چیز کی جانچ پڑتال کرنے کا وقت مل جاتا ہے اور پھر بھی ان کے صحیح طریقے سے فٹ ہوجاتے ہیں!
