Visible Learning

At The Heys Primary School we constantly strive to develop ourselves as learners and as teachers. Good schools ‘grow good learning communities.’

In June 2014, The Heys School joined with John Hattie’s ‘Visible Learning Intervention’ to become a Visible Learning School. At that time we were one of only four in the United Kingdom. We began work with Craig Parkinson, who is an Educational Consultant, working in Great Britain and Europe developing Visible Learning Schools and Singapore Maths.

We began our work by seeing what we were already doing well, what we needed to embrace to further improve and how we could get there...  Since then, the way teachers teach and children learn has changed…

All our future work is based on the internationally renowned John Hattie’s evidence based research.
