Traditional Tales
Recently the children have been looking at different traditional tales, such as: the Gingerbread Man, Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Little Pigs, the Three Billy Goats Gruff and many more!
Acting out the story of 'the Three Little Pigs'
When the children were learning about the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ they made houses using different materials. This further promoted opportunities for roleplay whereby the children had to recall and act out key events from the story.

Nursery Learning Autumn 2022
Nursery children have settled in so well, we are incredibly proud of them .
This half term Nursery children will be working hard on their listening skills. They have already been on lots of listening walks around the school building and also in Forest School.
The have enjoyed exploring numbers, colours and shapes in their daily Maths sessions.
In Phonics we have been identifying initial sounds through games such as eye spy - an old favourite! We have also been playing rhyming games, playing musical instruments and listening to many stories.
Nursery are also following the Anima phonics scheme. The children will get to know the animal mascots, listen to the songs and stories and begin to explore letters and the sounds that they make. They will also probably come home starting to do lots of actions related to the sounds.
